BECOME A MEMBER

The South African Society for Cultural History (SAJCH) is a scholarly association that was founded in 1982 with the aim of promoting the practice of Cultural History in South Africa.

    WHAT DOES THE SASCH DO?

  • Arrange congresses, conferences and seminars on Cultural History
  • Encourage research and publication of scientific articles of a cultural-historical nature
  • Make recommendations to authorities and  organisations regarding the conservation of South African Heritage
  • Establish contact between cultural historians and interested parties

   WHAT ADVANTAGES DOES MEMBERSHIP             HOLD?

   A member receives:

  •  Two editions of the South African Journal for Cultural History per year
  • Two editions of the society’s Newsletter per year
  • The opportunity to attend all SASCH congresses and conferences at reduced cost
  • Access to the International Society for Culltural History (ISCH) and its conferences

In this way, the member stays in touch with cultural historians the most recent developments in Cultural History.

HOW TO APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP

Complete the application form and forward with payment or proof of payment to the SASCH.  Membership is subject to council approval.  The yearly membership fees are as follows:
